Does Milner House have power during load shedding?
Yes. Milner House runs a dedicated backup power setup combining solar and a generator. Lights, plug points, Wi-Fi, DSTV and air conditioning stay on through scheduled and unscheduled outages, so a stage 4 or stage 6 evening does not change your stay.
Does the Wi-Fi keep working during load shedding?
Yes. The router and the fibre equipment are on the backup supply, so the Wi-Fi does not drop when the municipal power does. That matters for business guests on calls and for anyone working from the room.
What happens if the water goes off in Kimberley?
